Our Mission

Ludenwright started with a mission: to help indie developers and creators navigate the often overwhelming world of game development, marketing, and playtesting. We understand how challenging it can be to find the right resources in a sea of information that often profits from the confusion and chaos of the game industry. We’re here to change that.

If you’ve ever tried to build a game on your own, you know how tough it is to handle everything by yourself. We’ve created a space designed to facilitate teamwork, guiding your creative journey with tools, processes, and templates designed to make larger milestones easier to realize.

FAQ

  • Joining Ludenwright means stepping into an active community of people who are building and learning together through game development. When you join, you’ll become part of our Discord server, where most of our activity happens. You’ll use our team matching tools to explore open roles, connect with developers, and find the right fit for your skills and interests. Being part of Ludenwright is about contributing to a shared space where creators support each other, collaborate on projects, and grow their abilities in a welcoming, low-pressure environment.

  • No. Ludenwright is completely free to join and participate in. We believe in making game development more accessible, and that means removing paywalls. All of our tools, events, and community resources are open to members at no cost.

  • Of course! At Ludenwright, it's not a requirement for people to have prior experience before joining (we all have to start somewhere, right?). All we ask is that you come equipped with a growth mindset and a healthy appetite to learn! In the future, we will have resources set up to support fresh talent so feel free to join our community and see how we can support you!

  • While we can't help you find a job directly, we do have a channel specifically for job postings which we source from other discord communities! We also have a channel where we post about other discord communities, some of which may have resources specifically for job-seekers. Additionally, by working on real projects, building a portfolio, and connecting with professionals, many of our members strengthen their skills and expand their opportunities in game development.

  • Ludenwright is still in early development, but we’re actively curating tools and resources to help developers learn and grow in specific disciplines! We plan to offer game development resources and learning materials, structured peer-playtest sessions, assistance with team formation/recruiting, collaboration spaces, game jam events, social events, and more!

  • Absolutely! We encourage experienced devs, designers, and industry professionals to mentor, provide feedback, and share their expertise. Ludenwright is a place to both learn and give back to the game dev community. Join our Discord and get in touch with a facilitator to see how you can help!

  • Yes! Teams can showcase their games, projects, and contributions within the community. We provide dedicated spaces for sharing progress, finding teammates, and celebrating completed work. Although Ludenwright is not specifically designed individual self promotion, we do have designated spaces for people to show off the things they are working on, whether that includes asking for feedback, or just wanting to showcase a cool project! Always check channel guidelines before posting any of your work to a Discord channel to ensure that you comply with our requirements.

  • Unlike passive communities, Ludenwright is hands-on and project-focused. We create a space where game developers actively build, test, and refine their skills together—not just talk about it. We take our members' interests and autonomy very seriously, and work to ensure that our platform is focused on offering our members what they need to grow their career in gaming.
