The Ludenwright community thrives on shared wisdom, mutual support, and the belief that great games emerge from great learning. Today, we’re excited to announce the awakening of a major new resource for everyone in our network: The Tree of Knowledge.
What Is the Tree of Knowledge?
The Tree of Knowledge is a living, growing, interactive resource library built by and for the Ludenwright community. It's designed to house tools, readings, tutorials, templates, talks, and more — all useful to independent game development teams at any stage of their journey.
Some resources are curated by the Ludenwright team. Others are shared by members of the community. All are organized into categories and visually mapped so you can browse, explore, and discover in ways that feel intuitive and inspiring.
Whether you're a newcomer trying to find your footing, a team lead looking for documentation help, or a shadow eager to observe how games are pitched and tested — the Tree is a place where learning begins and deepens.
What Can You Find There?
You'll find:
Tools for building, pitching, testing, and managing indie games
Videos and readings on design theory, community building, and marketing
Templates for documentation and team workflows
Curated learning kits aligned with Ludenwright pathways (e.g. Shadow, Mentor, Team Lead)
Contributions from peers who’ve walked the same road
This isn’t just a folder of links — it’s a structured, evolving network of knowledge designed to meet you where you are, and grow as we grow.
Where to Find It
The Tree of Knowledge lives on the Knowledge & Resources page of the Ludenwright website. You can visit it any time to browse, contribute, or just explore what’s out there.
We’ll continue to add to it regularly, and welcome your ideas on how it should grow.
How to Use It
Browse by topic — Whether you're looking for feedback guides or animation tools, you’ll be able to filter and scan by category.
Contribute — See something useful? Share it with us! The Tree is open to community submissions, subject to review.
Connect with your path — Use the Tree alongside your community role. Many entries are tagged to support Shadows, Mentors, Ludens, and Initiates as they progress.
The Tree is just beginning to grow. Dive in, explore what’s there, and help us shape it into something truly community-powered.
